Hi all,
I am about to upgrade from the 2018 Ultra Pak to the 2019 Ultra Pak, but will keep BIAB 2018 in place for now, just, you know, in case. I will only install the 32 bit version for now.
Now all my RealTracks are in a folder c/bb2018/RealTracks and drums in c/bb2018/ RealTracks.
My questions are:
1) The website says I need around 250 GB free for downloads and extraction space, but surely the bulk of that must include my existing RealTracks and RealDrums files, no? If I only download the new ones, how much space should I need? Clearing out 250 GB even temporarily might prove to be a bit of a slog.
2) I suppose, to be space-efficient, I would move all of the existing ones from the c/bb2018 folder into a new c/bb2019 folder, and then download and extract the new ones to the latter, is this right?
3) If for some reason I need to go back to BIAB 2018, is there a simple setting somewhere which will let me specify the new, changed locations? Because I have a feeling otherwise it won't find the Realtracks / Realdrums.
I'd be grateful as always for any advice.

A couple of questions, just to help clarify your situation as fully as possible...
Are you ordering the UltraPAK USB drive? If not are you ordering the PlusPAK UltraPak2018 to Ultrapak2019 upgrade as a download? If neither of those options apply, what were you intending to get and how were you intending to get it? This makes a difference when it comes to installing.

I have BIAB UltraPak 2018 already up and running.
I would be downloading BIAB UltraPak 2019.
I was hoping I'd be able to select for download only the new Realtracks which come with BIAB 2019 Ultra Pak.
By the way, the UltraPlusPak does not come into this; I don't own it and am not getting it.

(By the way, the UltraPlusPak no longer exists. It became the UltraPak a couple of years ago.)
The PlusPak (US$99) is the most cost effective way of upgrading the BIAB UltraPak from the previous year to the following year (for example from 2018 UltraPak to 2019 UltraPak).
The PlusPak offers the additional material that is needed by 2018 UltraPak to convert it into the 2019 UltraPak. The US$49 BonusPak offers some extra additional material.
So... if you find out the size of the PlusPak and the size of the 49BonusPak, you'll have the overall download size of additional material. This will be the compressed size. I have no doubt that PG Music staff will be able to tell you the decompressed size.

P.S. Also, if you decide to go with the PlusPak option, it needs to be added to your 2018 version.
This means, that to keep a copy of the 2018 version of BIAB, just copy all the files except the \Realtracks and \Drums and folders to a different location. It's Realtracks and Realdrums that take up most of the space. Once that copying is done, simply install the PlusPak over the top of the original 2018 version of BIAB.
If you need to run the backup copy of BIAB, all you will have to do is to set the Realtrack and Realdrum preferences so that they are pointed to the original folders in the 2018 installation.
Lastly, Live Help/Chat might be a convenient way for you to talk directly with PG Music staff for their thoughts, too.

Yea as Noel says make a backup copy of your 2018 less RT RD.
I have a copy of bbw 2018 520.exe in the 2019 folder that seems to run ok,
don't know if it will cause any issues with 2019, but when you boot it you will get a 2019 splash screen but if you got to help you'll see it's 2018.
