PT 12. Been using PT since . . . way back mid 90's.

All was working fine. Had a crash while PT was open. Re-booted. Haven't been able to record audio since.

Note: I can't record audio in PT, but no problem with other apps.

Again, I've been doing this for about 12 yrs. I reset the midi devices. But obviously there's a setting somewhere preventing PT from recording the audio.

I tried to make an audio recording of one of the midi trax in a file. After I OK the "keep the take" prompt, I see the file saves, but it's not in a track. A prompt will say it's saving to a specific track, but once it finishes saving, that track has no audio. That track was changed to an audio track. The whole track has a red line going thru it. And from 0 seconds, for the length of time I was recording, that line is green. But no audio/wav track recorded.

I also changed the directory path to the suggested default directory. Still no audio.

I can record into other software with no issues. So my PC settings are correct, and my gear is set up correctly (as it has been for years)

I also tried recording from an outside source. Using a mic set up. The mic records in other software. Not PT.
