I wanted to add a comment on the idea of video tutorials. For folks like myself who are visual these tutorials are fabulous. I have been watching many of them over the past several months even before deciding to purchase to determine whether this product would meet my needs. I want to encourage those who create the tutorials to keep them coming. Of course, I prefer those videos where someone is speaking over simple text. (personal preference noted)
Most recently, I watched the Real Band 10 tutorial. I liked that it had addressed some questions although I had embarrassingly asked on the board now before getting to watch the video. Duh! But, I still have one question and it is pertaining to the extended endings. On my screen I am still seeing the box for "2 measure ending" and that is what is throwing me off. The video described what it sounds like having taken a song that had the 4 measures already created. But, it did not go into how it originally added them. The other topics were very well discussed however.
Thanks again! And have a very Merry Christmas!

I see what you mean RickeG. I noticed by loading the demo song that it does have a four bar ending so I am suspecting it might be the style? There is no 4 bar setting that I can find. And the User guide has not been updated yet to expand on the new features. Brian

The 4 bar ending is actually an extension inside the "regular' 2 bar ending.
There was a problem in the last versions of both RB and BB where the End of Song would abruptly cut off any dying notes from RealTracks.
Click, bam, thankyewma'am, it was horrendous.
The "4 bar ending" fixes that by extending the decay time of playback 2 bars past the end of the 2 bar ending.

I understand Mac. I am noticing that any new composition I have wriiten since installing 2010 there has not been any extension to let the notes breath to a natural decay. I have to create an artificial fade in order to work around the quick ending. I am speaking with Real Tracks instruments because the information on the web site says it does not apply to MIDI. Perhaps it is just the styles I picked, there have been three, but it appears not to be working.
As Brian mentioned the user manual has a snapshot showing the dialog box with the "2 measure" selection however, it is not the current version of what I am seeing in the new dialog. The part I find troubling is that one of the features I love about this product is that as you wand your mouse over something you are not familiar with it lights up with a nice explanation and even examples of what that particular feature is good for. That is not the case on this particular dialog box. I do see a 4 measure checkbox, which is not highlighted, just below the 2 measure checkbox. But, it does not have the explanation nor is it accessible.
Any thoughts?

RickeG, It's not working here for tracks generated in RB either. I think it only works right now when the realtracks are generated inside BIAB and then dragged and dropped to RB using the daw plugin mode - which I have not tried yet. After watching the video I was searching for it too. Kind of disappointing since I generate a lot of realtracks in RB. But I'm hoping it'll be added in a future patch or something.
