I would try creating a new file in Biab 2018 running on the new system and save it to the same directory as the files you are having trouble with. See if you can then reopen that new file. It sounds like the system doesn't know what .exe file to use when trying to open your old files. That is my guess anyway.
Another possible issue is your antivirus. I've had problems with Norton antivirus stopping me from opening Realband files that were created several months ago. I told the antivirus to not scan the where my Biab and Realband files were stored and to allow both .exe files for Biab and Realband. That fixed the issue I was having with not being able to open files.
