Well, its not that simple to call.

Class Compliant drivers may not have the ability to exploit the feature set of a lot of different devices and that's when it becomes necessary to write your own drivers to suit the target device.

One good example would be ASIO. There is no microsoft Class Compliant ASIO driver.

And there is no guarantee that Class Compliant guarantees proper operation, either. l've seen a few problems crop up from time to time with them.
