Check Prefs->Environmental Options at the lower left of the Prefs window, make sure that "OK to Save/Load Reverb, Vol, etc. with Songs" is still checked off.

Also hit the Overrides button while there and make sure that everything is still checked off in that window such that your not Overriding the song settings for Volume, etc.

If they are still checked and the problem persists after a reboot of the computer, try Options-> Return to Factory Settings because something may have gotten stuck.
