Hello and Happy New Year to everyone.
I received my BAND USB drive this morning and have just installed it. I'm running Windows7 and just using DXi at the moment with the window default midi and no midi input keboard yet and with audio from the PC sound card.
I made a backup of the USB Drive first then I deleted BAND from my C: Drive and then proceeded to install Option 1 of BAND 2010 to run from the USB. All went smoothly and it sure all works much faster than ever before, especially the Realtrack loading. I am really gonna love using the latest BAND it's real magic.
So far I only have one question if someone can help as I don't see any info in the forums of anyone else mentioning it. I built the STYLES list and they all seem to be in place but when I proceeded to build the complete SONG list it would load them all but when it gets to the end a FILE I/O error halts the procedure and it just goes back to the Build screen again when click OK leaving the SONG list empty.
I tried it a couple of times and also tried without selecting Sub Folders and the same result. It will build a SONG list of individual folders without an error so not sure why not from the whole BB folder & subfolders.
I was running Band 2010 on the Hard Disk without this problem prior to receiving the USB so I am not sure what the I/O means unless it is looking for a folder that is not there or how to solve it.
Hopefully someone will can help.

Hi Jeffy,
I'm not sure what the problem could be. But I don't do the Build or Rebuild from the main GG folder anymore as it doesn't *really* include all the subfolders except if you use the Songpicker to open the main bb folder. And that's just too many songs in one list.
So I open each folder as needed and run the Build as it comes up. Next time I open that particular folder, it is already built.
Remember, if you add any new songs to a folder, the Songpicker won't see them until you hit the Rebuild button, though.
"BiaB" or "BB" is what we call Band in a Box,

Thanks Mac,
Maybe folders as and when needed would be better for building the songs lists anyway thinking about it, still strange it don't work as it did.
Ah right sorry Mac, BB, BIAB, I will try and remember, I have been calling it my 'BAND' for many years now so it's habit.
