Hi there everybody,
I'm running the latest version of realband and biab 2010 but unfortunately on an ancient computer, 700 athlon cpu, xp pro, 640 ram. The dialogs in biab respond quickly enough eg style picker window etc but take ages to load in realband. I have tried reinstall but makes no difference the computer doesn't seem to be able to cope with realband that well. Biab is not too bad. I feel its just the old computer that is causing the problem
On your computer even though its recent do you find that the style picker window in realband loads a lot slower than biab or is it just becuse I have an old comp?

Here, on a rather long in the tooth Athlon 64, with 2g ram, they both load in about 1 sec. with BiaB seeming to have the slight speed edge, but not by much -- just tried it to see for you.
My RB doesn't load the BB Stylepicker window, it opens an Explorer window to my bb files. Maybe I'm not pushin' the right button.
How long is long in secs?

There is a checkbox (2 actually I believe) for 'custom dialogue open' and 'long filenames' in the options area.
It may help to have these enabled
did you say 640 RAM?
RAM upgrade may make the biggest speed improvement for that system if you plan to keep it..though it does sound like it is a bit aged
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
