Hello Dusty,
What operating system do you have, and do you know what type of sound card?
1. The easiest thing to do is choose MME audio drivers instead of ASIO, if you want to get up and running quickly. If you want to troubleshoot the ASIO problem, a couple of tips are - download the latest drivers from the sound card manufacturer's website, increase the latency/buffer size in the ASIO driver's control panel, or try using ASIO4ALL universal drivers.
2. What is the name of the file, and when does it happen?
3. It sounds like you had Band-in-a-Box open when you were trying to install the update. Solution is to close the program, wait a few seconds, then install the update.
