Fantastic Ryszard, that did it!! I insterted one bar as an ending, put drums only on the second half of it, (the first half I used the chord we're heading toward in the b section).... I was also able to raise the volume of that bar so that it sounds more like a fill(and quickly learned I have to restore it to normal for the following bar!) It doesn't sound perfect yet, but for writing purposes, it does what I need!

The only thing is that now my bar-numbering counts are off by one, the b section starts at 18 instead of 17... I guess there's nothing to be done about that?

If someone was writing in sheet music, how would they indicate a one-bar drum fill like that without it affecting the overall system? I mean, isn't that common in rock, one bar that's kind of inserted, outside of the 8-16-32 bar system?
