I think pgmusic used a rather confusing definition of that new feature.
It is not a new Ending that is four bars long at all.
All it does is extend the Playback and Rendering of a BB song out two bars past the original 2-bar, 1-bar or "none" Ending.
It therefore does not need to be turned on or turned off, it applies at all times to all Endings.
This was done to prevent the annoying sudden cutoff of notes in RealTracks at the end of a song, allowing them to die out more like they should -- naturally rather than with the abrupt *click* from previous versions.
That said, it does generally work and sound much better that way.
