Question 1: How do I reprogram my .SGU file of that Song to get back to the very first playing pattern of that Style (or any Style, for that matter) ???

Just hit Play again and regenerate the parts. You may have to do that several times, but I've always gotten it to "come back 'round again". Part of my workflow with BB anymore.

[also...is hitting the Pause & Play button the correct method for keeping the existing pattern of the selected style ???]. (sometimes we want to ramp thru & see what the next, then next pass sounds like...but are not always happy w/ what we get).

Do you have BiaB 2010? The newest version? The new Freeze function is for that, and it loads fast. I can now Freeze tracks, save the song that way, then unFreeze a track, regenerate and save it that way, too!

Question 2: I want to take that very 1st pattern on the Acoustic Guitar of that Style (& maybe the Bass)...& start to build a custom Style around it. I'd like to then bring in the Piano, Drums (& other instruments) from other Styles into the newly created custom Style. But 'Stylemaker' is throwing me for a loop; & I'm not sure how this would be accomplished. I looked thru the help files for stylemaker but I guess I'm just drawing a blank. I opened that style in stylemaker, selected 'Guitar', saw that the first Pattern (top, left) was green...hit 'Save As'; & created the new custom Style. But I'm not sure how to add any of the Bass patterns from that Style to my new Style...or how to add patterns from other Styles to it.

Check out the Hybrid Style Wizard instead. A quick way to combine, say, the Guitar part from one style with the Bass from another and the Piano from yet another Style and save it as your own Custom style under a new name.
