You might consider another MIDI output option.
The hardware Ketron SD2 Orchestral Wizard sounds great, is small in size, with a USB-to-MIDI connector it would free up resources on your laptop.
Then the laptop has only to run the RealTracks, which it likely can without all that other overhead.
An added bonus, if you use realtime MIDI controller to play, is the zero latency of a hardware MIDI solution.
This solution will yield better MIDI sounds for the most part IMO, with less hassle -- and less cost -- and you can use the same laptop and everything that you have now.
