When I said, "program" -- it was the Windows OS that I was referring to. It is indeed a program, although some may not envisualize it as such.
Yes, they use Windows a LOT differently, which is why the apparently "Parent" window pops up and ruins the show for you.
Maybe in a future version pgmusic would work on this, I suggest that you put it on the Wishlist Forum as a request.
Because I don't think it falls under the category of "update" because it is likely going to take some rather serious in-depth redos at this point. Might be part of a GUI revamp, there's lots of concern about that issue and this falls into the category.
