What happened to the 'Speed up generation' option in the RealTracks Settings dialog. I can't seem to find it any longer and my generation time appears to have slowed down???

Can you time it and let us know how long it takes to generate a song with (say) 4 x Realtracks? Then some of us can compare it with our own experience.

It seems to me that generating a song with the play button generates each track very fast, but if I right click on an instrument and (re)generate just that track, it seems to be about like it was before 2010s enhancements. Also have found that some of the soloist RTs are a bit slower than others.

I confirmed that my problem was a bum .mgu file. It started to throw all kinds of strange errors when I regenerated in BIAB. I would like to know what is wrong with it, but I have to move on for now.
I believe my Speed up is back on. the following song with three RTs and Real Drums, from pushing the play button to hearing the first drum click took ~ 2 secs ( count of 1-1000, 2-1000.). Beat that

As a reference, I have a song with 5 RealDrums/Tracks and it takes anywhere from 6 - 9 seconds to start playing when I press play. Two seconds is like lightening. I'd love to know how you are getting that kind of speed.

Soloist generation is still going to be rather slower than accompaniment tracks, Peter mentioned that when we asked during Beta testing this year.

I suspect its the computer. 4 months ago when I bought the i7 it was the fastest processor I could afford.

It is also a good idea to defrag the hard drives, often that can speed up RealTrack generation from anywhere to just a wee bit to quite a difference.

I think the 2 seconds means the song is frozen. I typically get the 2 seconds on all my frozen songs. Later, Ray

My frozen songs load like "lightning".
The 2 secs referred to here are for generation of RealTracks, except for Soloists, which take longer.
