Hi all,
I have a song with a few styles combined. It is kind of tedious to go to the bar setting, click on styles, and browse wherever is the style I want to put back. Would be so muck quicker and more convenient to just go to the 1st bar make a special copy of the style and go further in the song and paste the style where I want this style to resume.
I haven't seen that feature, am I missing something ? If BIAB doesn't allow it yet it would be a great improvement cause it avoids you to have to search for the style you want to put back or would avoid you to have to go to bar settings, click on styles and paste the name of the 1st style to pick it again (so many clicks!).
Thanks for your help.

I'm not quite sure, but it should be done using user styles. And by switching markers

Thanks guys, I'm gonna look into the markers but if it doesn't work I will post something in the wishlist. While it doesn't seem to be a big deal it is important because it makes the interface much more smooth and easy to work. Many people only use 1 style but combining style is also one of the big advantage of BIAB because it fits with how it is to play with a real band (otherwise it sounds too "automatic" and therefore fake).
Copying and pasting style is really not much to ask and shouldn't be too tedious for BIAB to implement.
Therefore you love your 1st style, switch to another (and maybe another) and when you want to go back to the 1st style further in the song you just right click on the bar of the style you want to have again, make a "copy style", go to where you want that style again and "paste style" and voila. All is done without opening any new window or making any research.
Really a basic stuff which I'm surprised BIAB never thought about (supposing that the markers don't work but I have a feeling it won't).

Doesn’t it have a favorite style like favorite RT? Or recent?

Thanks for your help. The closest I've found to what you're asking is to Right Click on the Song Style Window. From the pop up menu, select the second option - Change Style at any Bar. Click on a bar you want the style to change - Hit the Style Picker Button and select a new style. Here are the steps I followed to get three style changes in a 20 bar song.... ( I tested with MIDI styles which produced immediate Style changes) . Right Click on the Style Window . Select the First Bar you want a new style change to occur. In my 20 bar example, I selected Bar 5 (to do this task, with the Change Style at Any Bar window open, hit the clear button. The Bar # will change from 1 to 5; Hit the Style Picker Button and select (highlight) the new style you want to use and click OK. The new style will be listed in the window. . Click your cursor on the next bar you want a style change to occur. In my example, I clicked and selected Bar 13. Hit clear in the Change style at any bar window. The number will change to 13. Open style picker and select the 2nd style you want to use and click OK. To assure the song starting with the original style, select the first bar style last. Note that you will see a red underline at the bars selected for style changes. You now have Three different styles chosen to play with one style starting at bar one. The second style plays beginning at bar 5 and the third style changes at bar 13. You can program more styles if you want and place style changes at any bar.

Thanks a lot Charlie, I will definitely look into that. But just reading the steps, that's a lot of things to do instead of just 2 clicks (copy & paste)

Lol, not really much difference if you actually 'count' the total clicks required of both methods as actions needed to be taken to complete either process. Copy/paste has to have something selected and a destination selected to copy/paste. It too is more than two steps.
I'm glad you're willing to try the Change Style at any Bar feature and I don't think you'll find its as complicated to do the action as it is for me to spell it out step by step. It probably will never be the perfect solution but hopefully it will be useful to you or another post reader.
I'd like to hear more about your particular song. There may be other methods available that are better solutions to get satisfactory results with less clicking and jumping from place to place.
