I like to know if it is possible to play selected instrument parts, like drums, in mono directly in Biab.

While we have the MIDI command of Stereo of Mono playback of all tracks under the GM menu, I don't know of any way to force a single track -- or a Realtrack that was recorded in stereo, like the RealDrums are, to mono from inside BiaB.
there may be another way, but first -- why do you want to do that? It could affect the answers you receive.

Two reasons: 1) I like to pan those parts to create the impression of making old mono recordings stereophonic, like bass in the middle, drums left and piano right. 2) You will lose left or right details if you pan tracks containing stereo recorded instruments like B3 organ, piano and accoustic guitars. I think that will not be the case if the parts can be set to mono.
I like Biab the way it works. It's really great, but I am always looking for new challanges. Like in this case, the possibilities of the application to create the sound and mood of a song exactly like I wish to hear.

Easy to do in realband-
Open trak in realband and use the tracks pulldown. Separate to two mono tracks, then merge those two to one.
Then use 'track - save track to file'.
It's a little work, but you have the tools.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

This is an assumption that does not take into account the fact that the program uses Equal Energy Panning for Stereo Tracks.
However, as pointed out, BiaB was not really designed for such surgical audio work, but if you are into trying such, RealBand or even Powertracks or any other DAW software for multitracking is the better choice for such endeavor. One might also consider taking an extra intermediate step through an Audio Editing Software such as the free Audacity, converting any stereo wav tracks to mono first, too.

You are right about Biab is meant for. I've never used RB. I will try. I use Cubase for final mixing. So, from now I will use RB or Cubase for that particular "mono channel" use.
