Yes, by all means please take the time to locate the 'readmefirst' text file and read it first. Understand what the possibilities are before doing anything.

If you have a previous version of BB and have your own songs and settings there, etc. -- an easy way to retain everything you have already plus add the new is to simply install BB right overtop of the old version in the same folder. It will not overwrite your own songs that are there, or previous add-ons or extra styles, etc. and it will also retain your familiar settings for you.

Okay to install "just" the bb program to your internal hard drive, pointing the RealDrums and RealTracks to the new external drive. Read about that in the readmefirst file.

If more people would read the 'readmefirst' file first, and pay heed, there would be a lot less posts here with problems that did not need to be experienced...
