He is actually a great clarinetist. Foundation in classical clarinet, just like my foundation was in classical trumpet. Then we heard the Bird... I've told him to push the clarinet out front more. So did Lionel Hampton. Marshall is right now playing Alto with the Count Basie Orchestra, though. But you oughtta hear him blow Bird stuff outta that darn licorice stick sometime. Thanks, Matt. Here's Marshall followin' in big brothers NAMM footsteps, a long time ago at a NAMM show I almost got myself fired for leaving the booth I was hired to play at and goin' out there head choppin'. All those jam sessions, man. What's a cat to do? Marshall heard Cherokee and went a-lookin', sax strapped on. Great drummer here IMO, youngster be channelin' old Klookmop at the thing.
