I haven't worked on music for a long time and I'm trying to get back up to speed on all my programs like BIAB... It seems like, back in the day, I was able to switch out MIDI drum parts, like we can now with RealDrums, but with MIDI. Is that not the case? I'm right-clicking the Drums radio button, and I see the options to add/remove RealDrums or (re)generate RealTracks. But I thought there was some way to choose a MIDI drum pattern and just plop it in there...
If I go ahead and choose "Add...", I then see (in the RealDrum picker) something about forcing the drums to MIDI, but, how do I choose a specific [MIDI]drum style I like?
Bottom line is, I found a nice 6/8 sort of style which sounds beautiful but which would sound even better with a beat. I'm trying to lay a nice 6/8 groove in there. When I try to do that using RealDrums, I can't find any way to narrow it down to 6/8 grooves. If I type "6/8" as the filter I get nothing. Simply "68" gets me a few dozen, but they're not really 6/8, and nothing really to indicate why they were displayed (I mean, HipHop and FusionFunkTerryClarke are displayed... for 6/8??)
Meanwhile, there are quite a few MIDI BIAB styles that are 6/8 (sort of "oldie"-type styles), but I don't know how to just pluck out a drum track from one of those styles, on the fly, and place it into my currently playing style (which lacks drums). Sort of a "groove browser" is what I thought BIAB had. Am I just mistaken?

In BiaB, MIDI drums are a function of the Style chosen.
Pick a MIDI style with RealDrums turned off in the RealDrums Settings Control Panel -- and you will hear them play.
If you don't turn off RealDrums auto-selection in that control panel, it will likely replace most MIDI drums in a MIDI-based style with a selected RealDrum.
