Hello all!

I have a problem with transfering my song into reaper. My apologies for not knowing how to post pics directly in this post, I have put links instead so that you can see the images on the hosting website.

I have 6 tracks in BIAB

When I open BIAB vst and open the song I still see the 6 tracks in it

Issue is that when I transfert the Master from BIAB vst into Reaper and chose to have separate tracks, only 5 are transfered. THE BASS track is missing! It refuses to load into Reaper.

I decided to drag the Bass track only from BIAB vst into Reaper but what is transfered instead is the Loop1!

At 1st I was confused but after looking I realized that even if BIAB vst lists the bass track as one of the track, the bass track is NOT playing it. I tried to regenerate the whole song but it doesn't change anything. The bass track appears in Realband in green but is not playing..

So I guess that BIAB vst can't transfert into Reaper a track that it can't read in the 1st place..

So I don't know what to do. The 1st issue comes from BIAB vst loading the song without the bass track. If I can resolve this I guess BIAB vst will transfert that track into Reaper like the 5 others.

I precise that when I do a master transfert from BIAB standalone into Reaper I have 1 sole track with the 6 sub tracks (including the bass track) but I don't want to have 1 master track for my song, I want to be able to have separate tracks so that I can work on each of them (mixing). This is why I decided to use BIAB vst inside Reaper so that I could transfert separate tracks. But as explained in this post, it's not working and this is VERY frustrating!

Can someone help ? frown

Open Reaper and RB at the same time.
Drag the tracks directly from RB to Reaper.

I've never had an issue this way.
Only trick is to grab the track number and drag it over to reaper .. and of course make sure the Tempo and time sig match first

Saves time smile

However your statement that "This is why I decided to use Realband Vst inside Reaper"
Do you mean the BiaB Plugin?
If so, that is not Realband, Realband is a separate program and you are confusing the terminology.

My apologies, I meant BIAB vst Plugin which shows the 6 tracks but doesn't play the bass. I have edited my 1st post to correct the mistake.

Thank you for your answer and help, I'm gonna try that now and update later on this post!

Cheers! smile

Ok so I am trying to open my song in Realband so that afterwards I can drag it directly into Reaper (as you advised me to do) but Realband constantly stops loading the song with this error message :
"Could not insert track since track 48 contains data".

I have to click on "ok" for Realband to keep on loading but this error message comes over and over again.

HELP! frown

Updating BIAB and RB did the trick. All is good now. I don't know why it wasn't working before but it does. Thanks.

One point to ponder is that if the song is opened in RealBand you don’t necessarily need to move to reaper. RB is a pretty solid and capable DAW in its own rights. Plus there you can try other Real Tracks and Drums and evening generate by bar sections while working in the DAW.
