Let me start by saying I know it's possible because it happened. I just don't know how it happened, or how to duplicate it. A little background... I created an arrangement. I exported all tracks into Audacity. I sang a vocal while in Audacity. I even added the final arrangement to a video using Windows Movie Maker. Then, the next time I started BIAB not only was my vocal playing along but a video window opened and it played my video. It was like magic. A dream come true. I haven't had much luck recording audio while in BIAB. Sometimes it works ok but sometimes it will even play the audio at double speed. Or start in the wrong place. I'd rather work in Audacity for editing my individual tracks but there is one thing that made this event exceptional. I often pitch shift my vocals in Audacity and a re-render my BIAB in whatever new key I need for the project. But last night I was able to transpose the arrangement AND it transposed my vocal. Whatever BIAB uses to accomplish this, it sounds much better than the pitch shifting effect offered by Audacity, not to mention the time-saving aspect. Too late to make a long story short but can somebody tell me what happened here? And how I can duplicate and control this?
