Thereafter whenever I start up BIAB there's no freezing issue so long as the ASIO Drivers are set to 44.1k Hz prior to opening BIAB.

Not a big deal, but it's been an ongoing issue with all BIAB 2021 versions thus far.

I'm presuming that BIAB is incompatible with 48k Hz, correct?

I think that is correct and that has always been my understanding. Or maybe things have changed in BIAB2021. My MOTU Audio Express is self-sensing and will automatically change to 44K when I run BIAB. However, I generally don't use the MOTU Asio with BIAB since only one app can access the ASIO at a time and I have it assigned to my DAW. So I use MME with BIAB.

I love and hate my MOTU Audio Express. I am afraid it is too complex for me. But all those capabilities give a lot of flexibility in usage. I think you just have to experiment to see what is best for you. Drivers can be tricky. You will have to learn what works and what don't. Always keep the driver install available for when your or Win10 messes things up.
