Using Band-in-a-Box 2021 Audiophile Edition v811 on Windows 10.
It's not possible to select the 'Master' button. I am able to select the button for each of the individual instruments. This happens running the program from both the supplied disk and fully installed. The Master button works fine on BiaB 2020.
I've tried searching to see if this is mentioned by others or if it's reported as a bug but can find no mention of it.
I'd appreciate it if someone could check this out on their systems.
When using all RealTracks and RealDrums the master button works perfectly. But if all of the tracks are MIDI then dragging the master button to mid does not work. I get a "the song does not contain any MIDI" error when in fact the entire song is MIDI.
Is that what you are seeing also?
My wife had her driving test today. She got 8 out of 10. The other 2 jumped out of the way!

I only use RealTracks and RealDrums which is the case for my present project and cannot select the 'Master' button.
On the 813 I just tested, the button doesn't "light up" but works for drag'n'drop, no problem. That's the point?
I'm afraid that's not the point Marco and there is a problem.
I've just installed the 813 build. When trying drag'n'drop using the unlit 'Master' button, it just renders the whole song, it does not drag and drop the individual tracks for use in our DAWS and audio editors which I understand is an important part of its function.
I returned to my 2020 version where the 'Master' button can be selected (it lights up) then it will drag and drop the individual tracks into the drag'n'drop folder as expected.
The only workaround I know of at the moment is to select each instrument button individually (the instrument button lights up) then drag and drop just that instrument.
The point remains that the 'Master' button is still not working as expected. Thanks to Noel96 for reporting this to the development team.
I know that dragging and dropping the master from the plug-in to my DAW Studio One Pro 5 puts each BiaB MIDI track on a separate DAW track. Have you tried using the plug-in as a workaround until the BiaB master is fixed?

I ran into this problem a few weeks back (and reported via Forum). Even with patch 813 it's not yet working correctly. Support did point me to a video that gave me an alternate way to do this - Audio menu, "Export Song As Audio File" has an option for one file per track and seems to work like 2020 did. Unfortunately it doesn't give an option for also creating MIDI files, which I was in the habit of doing. So I'm still waiting for the Master track drop station functionality to return.
And as MarioD suggested above, you might be able to get the DAW Plugin to do it for you. I've had mixed results so far even after a lot of playing with the plugin, so find my workflow works better with the standalone app. And I haven't tried the DAW plugin with a song where I've added Utility tracks in standalone.

Interesting that the 'Master' button in the plugin may work.
Personally I use the standalone to prepare my tracks then export these to use in my DAW (Reaper). I prefer this process which is, usually, straight forward and reliable. I never use the plugin.
Regarding the 'Master' button selecting problem being reported weeks ago. Could it be possible that this didn't reach the development team. A more recent problem with the 'Master' button menu of not freezing/unfreezing all tracks was fixed quickly after reporting it.
I wonder if it would be possible for someone from the development team to confirm here that they are on the problem and a fix will be forthcoming.
Just confirmed what ClassicMan has been explaining. From BIAB 2021 Build 814 the Master radio button does not light up, but it does drag out the complete song to my DAW. But in the past this would have permitted me to place each track on a separate track in the DAW. At this time it only brings a singe wav file with the full mix.
Not sure this has been clarified in the bug reports. I will do that now and we will see if it gets picked up in the next build.
Thanks - and just to be complete, it also just provides a single wave file when Master is dragged into the + section of the "Drop Zone", whileholding down CTRL. I still get the popup and have "Separate files for each track" checked. "Formerly I could also check the "MID" box and it would provide MIDI of the REALTRACKS when available." This helped a lot in that I could open one of the MIDI files in Cakewalk (using "Open With" from Windows file explorer) and it would give me the full tempo map from the Biab arrangement. Then I would drag the waves in, knowing they would line up properly. I haven't found a way using the plugin to vary the tempo of a song. I've run into other roadblocks with the plugin, so just find that my "original" workflow works more reliably for my projects.

It works here with Build 814. All the tracks came once I checked it. That check box is in the [DAW/Plugin Button - Options for DawPlug] in BIAB2021. Are you sure you have it checked there?
OK, thanks, I have now read the original thread. So you are doing it a little different than the way I did (do) it. I do not drag the Master to the "DropBox". Instead, I drag the Master directly to my DAW. Reaper does not need this intermediate step. Then with the Cntrl or Shift key held I can get midi or audio of all individual tracks.

Hello Dan,
Thanks for your suggestion and screenshot.
That info is for the plugin so I don't suppose it will work with the main program.
Incidentally, where did you find that Build 814? The top of the page is showing Build 813.

God, sometimes I hate all the jargon BIAB uses.
This is NOT involving the BIAB VST Plugin. BIAB historically used the term Plugin in a whole different context. This is using the OLD plugin setup options for dragging and dropping our of BIAB the main program.
