I'm using BIAB 2021 Win build 813 and Mac 2020 build 421 (latest builds for each). On both, if I select a real drum pattern on the drums track, generate and then look at the piano roll window for the drums, the correct drum pattern is there on the piano roll. But if I select Save Special/Save as Midi File, the drum pattern on the piano roll window always changes to some generic drum pattern and no longer shows the correct drum pattern for the song. And the midi file that I saved also has that same generic drum pattern and not the correct drum pattern for the song. Also, if I generate the song and right-click on the drum track and select Force Drums to Midi, the drum pattern always changes in the piano roll to that same generic drum pattern and no longer shows or plays the drum pattern I selected for the song. And if I copy the drum midi track to my sequencer, the midi data copied is always that same generic drum pattern, regardless of what drum pattern was selected in the song. So it’s impossible to export the midi data for the drum pattern I’ve selected for the song.

I must be doing something wrong, but can't figure out what. I checked the Preferences and I do have checked “If Song has RealDrums, also generate Midi drums” so it’s generating Midi drums, and it’s generating the correct drum pattern based on what’s in the piano roll and what I hear from the real drum track, but as soon as I try to export/save that drum midi data it always changes to that same generic midi drum pattern.
EDIT: I just tried the same thing in BIAB Win 2018 and everything works there as it should. So this appears to be a bug in the latest versions of Windows and Mac BIAB.
