Same thing happens to me. My MOTU M2 USB Audio Interface is set to 48kHz for use with my DAW (Reaper), and BIAB 2021 freezes whenever I try to start it at 48kHz (it changes the interface to 41.1kHz before freezing). Fortunately for both of us, it's not a big deal. Just shut down and restart BIAB. When I need my DAW again Reaper automatically changes it back to 48kHz.

Usually you can set an audio interface to various sample frequencies. Mostly the access is via right-click on a small icon at the right of the taskbar in windows. As BIAB uses 44.1 16bit wavs for Realtracks etc, it might be the best setting to work with as default, unless you do audio for video. BIAB can export 24bit, useful for creating more headroom when finishing mixes in Reaper with plugins etc.
