Try opening just BiaB after a reboot.
Visit the Audio selection window by going to Opts -> MIDI/Audio... and hitting the Audio Settings button just above the Help button.
Select the ASIO drivers from the dropdown at top right.
A new window should open, click to highlight the actual M-Audio ASIO drivers.
There is a check box there, "ASIO Always On" -- on my XP system, I have that checked (and I use an AP 2496 on that system and it runs just fine, but with XP, my drivers are older than the ones you report).
See if that can get it to work. The difference here may be your Operating System, though.
