Is anyone using the i3/i5 processors and if so is there any noticeable difference in the loading time of real tracks?

One of the Mac BB 2010 beta testers has a 27" iMac i7 machine. And it was loading RealTracks incredibly fast. A typical demo (3 RealTracks , 96 bars) starts playing after 1-2 seconds. Haven't seen any benchmarks on a i3/i5 yet.

The i3/i5 is good, but the i7 just screams! AND....if you really want to see performance go through the roof, use a Sold State Hard Drive. 2 used in Raid 0 is even better. The OCX vertex series is the best, performance wise. Look at some of the Youtube videos to see the incredible speed improvement. Expensive, but worth it!

Jakob be very carefull of laptops. many el cheapo ones can be problematic. (slow drives n chipset issues.) run this before buying. http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtmlfor proper laptops..but pricey.. check out www.adkproaudio.comproper chipsets n drives etc etc.

Well, I got my Dell studio 16 i7 with 256gig SSD. Loaded 2010 and it zips along with RT's. With fast loading it's 3 to 6 seconds depending on the number of real tracks. I even tried it on my old Dell c600. Now I can actually use my old dell as a backup laptop thanks to the freeze tracks feature.

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
