hi
I just converted a MIDI track filled with a drum pattern to an AUDIO track and for some reason the two are out of synch.
I have a number of other AUDIO tracks that I recorded using the MIDI track as a time keeper so the converted track is out of synch with the rest of the tracks
any idea why this happened?

When you converted did you right click and 'auto-convert' or did you use a different method?
If you auto-converted what VSTi or DXi synth did you use for drums?
Also, what midi device and what audio drivers are you using?
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

I used both methods:
Auto-convert MIDI to Audio and also Auto-convert MIDI to WAV file, both are out of synch
the MIDI out comes up as VSC DXi (default)
in the MIDI Driver Setup the Creative Soundfont Synth is at the top of the list, the others are Midisoft MIDI MApper and Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth
I don't have an Input MIDI driver
I noticed in this setup box that there's a Latency Adjust option, is this something I need to pay attention to?

If your Audio is not in sync with your MIDI, YES.

so, do I adjust this by running the LatencyAdjust file and once I determine the correct value for latency, I would enter that value in the Synth Out Latency Delay box?
I'm confirming because I haven't done this before.
just wondering...is this delay caused by hardware or software?

hey guys just found the quick and easy solution...play the MIDI drums by themselves and set the soundcard input to "What you hear" and it creates a wave file into anempty track perfectly in synch
