Does anyone know what standard/songs GS039, GS059, GS151 are? I have listened, tried using the song picker to match the chord progressions and a few other ways but I just don't recognize them. There is or are several lists floating around but these are missing on the lists I have found. GS090 was missing also, but I believe that is September in the Rain. GS100 is Fascinatin' Rhythm (on the lists it has a made up name and ???). GS072 is listed as Deed I Do?? on these lists but I believe it to be This Can't be Love.

Any ideas?

Do you have an (even incomplete) list of the corresponding original standards for each of the Master Guitar Jazz Solos songs? I just started with the first eight songs when I read your thread and realized that others possibly have already done the work.

What song is KTOBCTOI? I figure it is the first letter of all the words but I can't think clearly enough right now to figure it out.

thanks for the list! In fact, I'm still wondering what song 59/119 could be. Some changes sound familiar, but I can't figure it out. I have a total of 228 songs in the master guitar solo folder. Can someone add the last 50 songs or has a complete list?

I actually went to a list a JazzStandards.com and looked at 1000 titles and found nothing that fits KTOBCTOI, so the mystery endures!

I am sure The Gannons know, right?

Yeah, thanks Simon for that list but those are the "made up" names of these very real chord progressions. My OCD is driving me crazy trying to figure out what KTOBCTOI stands for, if it stands for anything. In the real scheme of things it doesn't really matter. I just need to listen to it some more without the guitar solo and figure it out myself. I am sure I have heard it before.

Hmm. "Suspended Autumn" seems equivalent to "Indian Summer" in plain English. This doesn't seem to match the changes in Real Book 3 (Please check to see if I'm wrong).

But it's a start. Any other ideas? (Or other arrangements?)

Also "Early Winter" by Gwen Steffani ;-) could fit, in consideration of the title, but of course not at all as far as the changes are concerned, and it's not a swing either. And "Early Autumn" (Burns/Mercer) is completely different.
Any other idea?

59 and 119 are "It Had to Be You". I went back yesterday and was messing around, muted the guitar solo and it jumped out at me. I sang along with it and confirmed. It was It Had to be You.

151 I believe is Falling In Love With Love as the list above said. It is not exact, but it is closest. but I always have heard and played that in 3/4 not 4/4 as this program has it. The chord progression is very close.

Now only 039 is left to figure out.

They are standards, that PG Music renamed. I guess to avoid any copyright issues, although there are no melodies, so not sure why the subterfuge. In any case if you go back earlier in the post there are lists available, created by users, that show the standards these chord progressions represent. There are a few that were questions. So when the lists were made the person making them didn't know the song and either guessed or just put ? etc. I have been working on a few of them to figure them out.

Not a big deal at all, but if you look at the list and play the questionable ones and know the answer post away!!
