Hi All,
I'm considering getting the m-audio fast track pro usb interface but seen another post on here where someone seems to have problems getting the m-audio asio to work with band in a box.
Is there any problems with the m audio asio working with biab and relband or should I be good to go with this interface?
I have win 7 32 bit and windows xp sp3.

Don't know for certain at this point, but Peter just posted this over on the BiaB forum: Quote:
We found a cause for some crashes with ASIO in Band-in-a-Box, that can occur if using the Panic button, or when exiting the MIDI Dialog (after playback has occured).
The simple workaround is to disable the menu item [Play- Panic also resets DXi] . When disabled (no checkbox beside the menu item) the crash no longer occurs.
We'll get a more definitive fix in the next patch release, but the workaround above should accomplish the same thing.

Probably at end of the day It will be more important for me that at least the asio from m-audio will work ok in realband as I won't be doing much recording in biab anyways.

Helo again,
Well I have just ordered the fast track pro £132 delivered to me.
Just wondering when I install it will I just be able to select it in the DAW software device setup or will I also have to go into sounds in control panel and configure it there too?
Will be using it mainly in realband, cubase sx 3, and reason.

I assume it is like my Yamaha AudioGram 6. Install the drivers first, then connect the USB cable. Set it as default device in control panel. Open Biab or RB, go to opt/pref/audio and select it there and you should be good to go.

Assume nothing.
Read the instructions, understand them first, then do what the instructions for the specific device tell you to do.
One device may do it one way, another may tell you something different. Doing it the wrong way can lead to needless problems.
Be patient, wait until it gets there and read the included manuals and installation directions. If you want to get ahead of that curve, visit the M-Audio website and download the manuals in .pdf form from their Support section.
