A lovely song and production.
The esses slip in a bit and there's one in the first few seconds.
No one else has mentioned it so it could be me.
I think the reason it stands out for me is that it's an aggressive sound ina very calm, relaxed and gentle setting.
The narrative is superb.

I see a new song post by Greg Johnson, Imma gonna jump on it. The song reminds me a bit of Bob Dylan's "If Not for You," but branches out from it as it plays. Loved the usual very pleasing rhymes like "jealous and tell us." I remember once you wrote that the only instrument you played was BIAB. Well, maybe so, but nobody plays it better. And a voice that compares favorably with Jackson Browne. Another great tune I thoroughly enjoyed. Highest marks! Thanks so much!! I appreciate your wonderful support and kind words!! Very pretty song Greg.
You've captured the '60s and The Byrds with this one. Even the harmonies sounded from that wonderful era.
The story told through various colours works a treat.

I'm not expert in '60s songs, but it sounds like you've really nailed that vibe - but with your own personal sound. Love the jangly guitars! The write is especially good - it takes what could have been a simple "colors" list, and fleshes it out with emotion. The high harmonies and echoes are a real treat!
