I gave her my all and just cared The days became shorter the nights grew cooler I became aware that I would soon lose her Back there she had to go back there. ...................................She said "Pretty boy don't you look so sad. You are the best I've ever had Until I think of a word that rhymes I'm giving you all of my Yankee dimes. Now when I’m alone in the bright sunshine I remember how I earned those Yankee dimes ------------

I was not familiar with the term "Yankee Dimes" - had to look it up - never heard it used before...

An interesting vocabulary is one of the few benefits of growing up in South Alabama and Georgia. We considered our cousins from Birmingham to be Northerners. Don't get me started on carpetbaggers or scalawags.
