Thanks Dan for all the encouraging words! T

The intro was immediately captivating.

Time-wise it's an interesting topic that generates significant concern to us all.

Vocally rich throughout. Neat guitar work on the fills. All topped off with a quality mix.

Top job.

You're an ace.

Thanks Ray! I definitely wanted to get across that there is plenty of blame to spread around for all of society's ills! But it doesn't give an excuse for some of the egregious acts of inhumanity committed by one nation's leaders upon another nation!

Hi Torrey,

And again a very nice song, with strong lyrics from your hand.
Let's hope Ukraine will survive.
A good melody and I agree: we lost our way...

As usual, you sang it very good and the band is very good too.
Enjoyed it, as always with your songs.

Have a nice weekend,
Hans

Inspiration has definitely struck like lightning.

Love the lyrics. Love thy neighbor! Forgotten so easily.

Great mix. Your guitar part enhances the song without overpowering it.

Thanks Marty! For this one I did have the vocals and piano a little hotter in the mix than usual. I have been steadily doing subtle changes to the mix though and have posted updated versions on Soundcloud since you listened. T

I had my speakers turned up pretty loud (from a previous listen). That typically causes some unpleasantness (in typical mixes) - ear-wincing. NOT the case with this. It sounds Great! loud...

Those drums POP! Killer Kick sound (any processing that you can share on that???)
Nice warm sounding piano.
Your guitar is heavenly! LOVE that tone!!

KILLER vocals and harmonies.

Excellent write. Good message.

I've said this many times before - reminds me of the very best of Rundgren.
Could have been a cut off Something/Anything (easily).

One of your best.

Floyd, I must admit that for a moment the thought crossed my mind to print and frame your comments and hang on the studio wall. Your words are such an encouragement and I truly appreciate them!
I can't take a lot of credit for the drum sound. I pretty much just followed the settings used in the producer secrets video for drum stems on the PG Music site. Being the first time using them I didn't want to vary from the template the narrator gave. The only exception to his settings was that I couldn't get the 10 band graphic equalizer to load for some reason. It would flash on the screen for a second and dissappear. So I used the 5 band instead. T

Strong lyrics commenting the upside down world very accurately, the band is almost too smooth for the message, but on the other hand, it is balm for our wounds, calming our anger. The arrangement and the mix are very pleasant. The solo guitar is just right, not too aggressive. And all is delivered with sweet soulful vocals.

Steely Dan vibe for sure but ultimately all Torrey ... a good thing.

A great sentiment indeed ... sadly it has to be shared by many, many more to blossom.

All the goodness of the production has been eloquently described above.

The soaring guitar and heartfelt vocal are standout.

Excellent,

J&B

This one is easily in the top 5 songs and mixes I've ever heard here. You can be proud of the work you did on this.

Thanks Herb! I really appreciate all that! T
