I'm in the midst of moving to Windows 7 from XP. On XP I could capture the output of BIAB in Audicity where I could massage the file. I can't do that under Windows 7. I am now trying to use the 2010 .wav function to render a wave file with little success. Somehow I got it to work once day before yesterday and once yesterday but I can't figure out how I did it. Could someone please tell me the step by step process to complete this once I am ready to render the wave file with the song ready to replay? I am 80 years old and maybe not as sharp as I used to be so I sure could use a little help.

Hit the WAV button on your toolbar. Once there, there is a DXi-Direct Render button. That will produce a WAV of your unmuted parts. There are other options there you can play with but the default should give you what you had before.

It seems that the DXi stuff will cost me 40$. I've already spent 100$ on stuff that didn't help. It worked twice for me without it. I just can't duplicate the process.

You don't need any more dxi stuff than what is included with BIAB. That button is used to create a Wav file from your song including Midi, RealTracks and RealDrums. Have you tried it?

Is your version of Windows 7 32-bit or is it 64-bit?
If it is 64-bit, the VSC DXi included with older copies of BB won't work.
Updating your BiaB 2010 to the latest build available on the pgmusic update page will install the Coyote Wavetable synth, which does indeed work and play well with 64-bit operating systems.
If you have 32-bit Win7, then this would not be the case.

I just had a thought, but haven't had a chance to try it (maybe I will this weekend, unless someone indicates otherwise).
I know the VSC DXi doesn't work in 64-bit, but the BIAB disk ships with both the VSC DXi and the VSTi. Does anyone know if the VSTi version works in 64-bit, or are they both a no-go?

Re-loaded update 298. This time I requested the DXi stuff. All is well. I can generate a wave file using the .wav function. Thank you all for your help.
