If they can't play well individually, there is no chance that putting them together will improve things.

There was this man who got knighted for producing the Beatles and IMO he was the guiding force that really knew music. To their credit, the four moptops LISTENED to him and did what he told them to do.

This was not new, they were applying the Motown Model in a flat out attempt to garnish some of that US money. And they succeeded.

Apparently, brining in that kind of money can get you knighted...
