Just a quick update...I ran the same virus signatures, engine, etc. against the previous five BBW updates, and those present no issues. Some other virus checkers don't scan below a certain level in nested archives (i.e., the level is set to no scan as deep, and hence they may not flag a potential problem). One trick of malware in self-extracting archives is to nest, for example, zips within zips, or other compression archives within different type archives. So while this may be a 'false positive', it would suggest PG Music has changed their archive method between build 299 (as well as the latest PTW 2010 program download...see edit to previous post). I do not connect my music workstation to the internet. I download updates on one or more systems, scan those, then if they check out, migrate the updates to my workstation. While I keep my workstations backed up to the hilt, I do not want to have to rebuild it due to a virus. Anyway, when I hear back from PG support, this might get cleared up.
