The Melodist and Soloist tracks can be used to add your own MIDI based riff and signature lines. This can be done via mouse note-entry, or by recording to MIDI using MIDI controller device.
For a Bass riff, use the Bar Setting command to have the auto-accompaniment Bass "sit out" (Rest) while your custom bassline plays. Or Guitar, or...
