We used to write music together - now we just talk soccer all the time! Once Eddie understood the Off-Side rule. I knew he was hooked.
I'd like to think you're right about the final Eddie, but I'm not confident.
That off-side rule is hard for some to comprehend. I played and coached soccer/football many years ago so I know about off-sides, especially since I played left wing! Another rule that caused a couple of major discussions between parents and the ref was the advantage rule. Some thought that every foul must be called regardless of who had possession of the ball.
I get most of my exercise these days from shaking my head in disbelief.
