About the middle of May, the Church of God that I attended when I was growing up asked me if I could do a concert on a Sunday night. I said I would try, if they would have other singers there to give me a break. I made it through the two-hour concert rather well, as I had other singers that would perform after I would do about two or three songs and become quite winded. Several folks from the church later asked if I would be making a DVD of the performance, and that's what I'm doing right now. The song PRECIOUS MEMORIES made quite an impact that night. I had sung it that morning, and was asked to do it again for the evening concert. By the time I finished there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Most all these country folks could identify with the recitation I wrote for the song. If you have about eight (8) minutes and would like to hear it, you can view it on YOUTUBE. Take a listen, and let me know your thoughts. So glad I was able to do this concert without the need for oxygen during the service. Ahhhh that's so good Ray. I could almost hear OC Clinton singing harmony with you on it. Thanks for sharing. I could picture everything you were singing. Good on ya Mate.

Hi Ray, we really enjoyed it. It brought back memories of my wife's grandparent's place in N. AL circa 1954 . They would serve a big breakfast from the wood stove and then start the fire for lunch. Her grandpa would be out plowing behind a mule, just as you described.
Me being a city boy, it was an eye opener for me, to say the least.

Never having grown up in that sort of environment, I can't quite relate as many of your listeners can, but you can be assured that my eyes are misty-eyed, and my throat a little tight.
