The current version of Biab has come a long way since I first purchased it back in 2009.
I have nagged about things over the years because I love Biab and have suggested so many ways to improve it to give frustration free creativity.
  • To be able to copy, edit and regenerate any section of a RealTrack without it turning into a wav file attached to the SGU is a massive step.
  • To be able to instantly create a midi block chord track for Virtual Instruments to follow improves the work flow incredibly. There are so many Virtual Instruments now that follow midi chord input.
  • To have Virtual Instruments of the RealTrack & RealDrums to add or edit any of the RealTrack or RealDrums notation allows you to create your own chords, articulations like Bends, vibrato, Hammer-Ons & Pull-Offs. Allows you to create your own Drum fills, endings, solo riffs etc..
  • Volume Automation for each track and now the Master track makes things so much easy and this is non destructive so no wav files created and attached to the SGU
  • The Alt+F8 Floating Re-Gen window is surely a miracle worker allowing you access the the Mixer, Chord Sheet giving you all the control you need to get what you want and frustration free, truly magical.
  • What Tobin is doing in this great video is all the things that I wanted to be able to do and have creative control over.

As much as I complain I think where Biab is now is magical, sure there is more that can be done but it has come a long way, so well done PG.
Sure some releases may not have the feature or fixes we ask for but you get a massive library of all the great content.
I would never put anyone off purchasing Biab as I highly recommend it.
Where on earth can you get so many world class session musicians to instantly play for you with a few clicks.
There IS nothing else like this, not on this planet anyway !

I concur with muscocity 100%.

I have used the program since the early early days of floppy disks and each year it has gotten better and better. It never ceases to amaze me of what it can do.

The highlight was the introduction of RT's and RD's

What an eye opener that was and completely changed the way I,We use the program.

I know of no other company that helps the end user the way they do and over the years you get to know the individual names who work there by browsing the BIAB Forum like I have done just about every day.

Keep of the good work PGMUSIC and thanks to the entire gang for the magic you have provided us over the years.

I too have been with BIAB since the floppy disk/dos days, and have bought every version of the program since then, including all add-ons. I look forward to the December release every year and I'm always amazed at what PG Music has come up with. This program really is magical.

I definitely agree.

There are some really nice features that are coming together well and it's notable that Tobin's using utility tracks for most things. It's getting closer to that "all tracks are equal" as time goes on.

One of the things of which we need be aware is that changes take thought and time and testing. I'm delighted with what they've done with 'my' restricted note range wish, though the intent to do it may well have predated my wish by a long time.

As I've been using wma files expanded to wav files to allow operation in wine, I decided I'd part with the beer tokens and get the audiophile version. I'm also sometimes also a bit of a critic of what PGM does or does not do, so I'll add my voice here and the purchase there in support. Well done PGM, keep up the good work.
