Hi,
I'm fiddling around with Linplug Saxlab 2 and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to NOT have BB send whatever it sends that always reverts SL back to its default settings right before playing a tune.
Saxlab receives from all the Midi channels, so I mute every non-realtrack channel , but it doesn't solve it.
I've unchecked everything in the Midi settings panel, but the problem remains. So, what must I do so that Saxlab only receives notes-related infos but nothing else that erases my settings ?

Biab only has one midi output port, that may be your problem. That means all midi tracks generated by Biab must go through whatever you have set up as a midi synth in this case Saxlab. Since this plugin is a VSTi it is probably best used in Real Band not Biab. RB has 32 midi output ports, 48 tracks, it opens Biab files and it can do a lot of other things you should like.

Because BiaB was designed to work with a GM synth, BiaB sends GM RESETS at the beginning of the song.
BiaB was not designed to use a single instrument MIDI output device.

I have SaxLab 2, but haven't installed it on my new machine. I think what's happening, if I remember correctly, is that it's pulling up a blank preset. If you select patch one, it pulls up preset 1, patch 2 - preset 2, etc. But since I don't have it on my machine, I'm not 100% sure about that. I do know that MIDI generated by BIAB will have to have the main settings "cleaned up" before you can get it to play the correct preset. It will sound good, though!
