If you can't get to the screen that Chuck is referring to I'm going to recommend that you try something that is going to sound really stupid. Before you reboot, remove everything from every USB port that you have. When I say everthing, I mean everything....even your mouse and keyboard. If the computer does a boot to anything then you can plug your mouse and keyboard back in, but not before. I've got a computer that for some unknown reason take a fit once every 6 months and won't boot with anything connected tot he USB ports.
