Forum members thanks for the replies. Keith and Gibson thanks for the suggestion. I did unplug all my USB connections, but that was an uneducated guess, and I still had problems. I certainly will try that first if the problem ever arises again. Chuck, thank you for the information, it worked! I had to do a few things differently but the ending result was the creation of a new boot that got me into the computer. I’ve gotten the latest upgrades and have turned the system on and off a couple of times and everything seems to be working fine in that regard. Now all I have to do is start slowly re-connecting up and re-introducing my cubase, layla, vbt-1, mixers, BIAB 2010, PTPA12, etc. Hopefully all will work and for the first time in a few years I will be able to finally start using my “stuff”!
