The only person who should draw attention during a show is: whoever is singing lead, playing lead, or announcing the next song.
This guy would not only be a royal pain in the ass, but he should be invited "outside" between sets for an "attitude adjustment" by the other band members!!
The only reason I didn't post this the first time I saw it was because I figured it would hit too close too home for the drummers in the crowd.
Drummers should be heard, felt, but never seen in a group! In other words, they should do the same thing as every other member of the group when it isn't their time to solo. Keep the beat, and keep your head down, and back off!
Shut up and play! (Don't draw attention to yourself unless it's your turn to solo!)
Jeez! (Sorry, but this is a sore spot for me. I could relate to the post from Craigslist on here before where it said "I'll give you $100 to shoot my drummer", because a lot of drummers seem to think that it's their turn to solo every time!). Better to not have a drummer than to have one who thinks they are a soloist. Only one song in 100 needs a drum solo! Okay..............unload!
