Nice song but the voice is a bit bothersome to me particularly on the live version. The high notes early on seem to be affectations in his hands where they'd've been "normal" for many of the class Bert singers.
Yes, Painted From Memory is fabulous though it had some echos/borrows of/
from old melodies in it. This one has echoes of a few EC/BB songs too, (Such Ulikely Lovers particularly).
