Primo aiutino di una futura lunga serie....:
- siccome non mi riesce scrivere in BaB, con la tastiera, il simbolo #, ho iniziato ad usare il generatore di accordi però non mi da' (oppure non mi riesce trovare il sistema...) la possibilità di scrivere F#, ma Gb, come C# (Db).
Sto sbagliando qualche cosa?

Non stai sbagliando, il fatto è che per inserire alcuni simboli conviene utilizzare delle scorciatoie, ad esempio ecco come inserire con la tastiera alcuni accordi:
digitando c3 inserisci do diesis;
digitando db inserisci re bemolle;
digitando eh inserisci mi semidiminuito;
digitando fj inserisci fa settima maggiore;
digitando gd inserisci sol diminuito;
vi sono anche altri simboli a dire il vero ma rischierei di trascrivere qui mezzo manuale.
So che non è . . . ehm ehm "abituale" leggere manuali e guide (ci sono passato anch'io!), e proprio per questo motivo e per tentare di aiutare chi si è appena avvicinato al programma, ho messo a disposizione 3 Video abbastanza elementari (li trovi sul mio sito, il link in firma), lì non c'è molto da leggere, solo guardare ed ascoltare (5/10 minuti al massimo per ogni video).

Intanto grazie.
Il manuale, lavoro e famiglia permettendo, ho iniziato a leggerlo (pianp piano...).
Non riesco a capire però il perchè, nel generatore degli accordi, selezionando F#, mi devo trovare scritto Gb...
Un'altra cosa: per me, conoscitore superficiale della musica, D7+ e/o Dmaj7 sono lo stesso accordo; Bab li suona diversi, ovvero una volta ho scritto D7+, ma non suonava "bene", poi con Dmaj7 tutto tornava. Sto prendendo un clamoroso "granchio"?

sul discorso dei manuali naturalmente io non volevo fare critica, ci mancherebbe altro, era solo una battuta, spero non te la sia presa.
Sul discorso degli Accordi invece credo che le cose siano più complesse, Band-in-a-Box è molto dipendente dalla cultura musicale dei suoi genitori (senza offesa, anzi m'inchino davanti a loro e mi levo capello e cappello!).
Però ogni tanto dedico un po' di tempo allo studio del comportamento del software nella esecuzione di determinati Accordi, ad esempio secondo la teoria che ricordo di aver studiato:
C7 dovrebbe essere composto da Do, Mi, Sol, Si bemolle;
Cmaj7 da Do, Mi, Sol, Si;
C+ da Do, Mi, Sol#;
C+7 da Do, Mi, Sol#, Si bemolle; (fin qui nessun trauma)
C7+ nella realtà non dovrebbe esistere, ed infatti se guardiamo lo svolgimento dell'accordo in una traccia strumentale Band-in-a-Box lo accetta sul foglio accordi, ma lo svolge esattamente come il C+7. Una specie di conferma mi viene dal fatto che quest'accordo non lo trovo elencato nemmeno nella finestra di Sostituzione Accordi. Però . . . quando credo che il ragionamento fili e provo a cambiare lo stile non di rado tutto va a rotoli, cioè sento suonare accordi che non sono come dovevano essere. Almeno questo è quanto accaduto talvolta al sottoscritto.
In parole povere (situazioni strane come questa ne ho trovate altre) la cosa ideale è fidarsi soprattutto del proprio orecchio, se senti un accordo . . . strano, l'unica è provare a scriverlo differentemente.

A quello che dice Sergio, peraltro correttissimo, vorrei aggiungere che da quando è stata aggiunta la notazione all'italiana (che ho fatto chiamare Do Fisso, sarebbe lungo spiegare perchè) gli accordi si possono immettere anche alla nostra maniera, digitando ad es. Lam o La- per La minore, ecc. ecc.
il # si ottiene sempre premendo il tasto 3 della fila superiore, La3 per La#, e così per gli altri simboli, come dice il manuale.
A proposito di quest'ultimo, sono anch'io del parere che un programma moderno e facile da usare debba poter fare a meno del manuale, ma Biab ha così tante potenzialità a volte insospettate per un nuovo utente, che una sfogliata anche rapida sarà utilissima per scoprirle, e vi assicuro che spesso le dimentico anch'io.
Questo è dovuto proprio all'unicità di questo programma, che fa cose non comuni, e che quindi si possono apprendere solo usandone le sue tante funzioni.

Molto giusto quello che scrivono Seranto e Maurig. Posso solo aggiungere che a volte l'accordo di do settima maggiorata (do-mi-sol-si) viene anche indicato nel sistema anglosassone con C seguito da un piccolo triangolino. Un po' come il cerchietto della diminuita o il cerchietto sbarrato della semidiminuita. Che naturalmente non ci sono sulla tastiera del computer. Infine vorrei ricordare che Gb NON é UGUALE A F#. O meglio, lo è diventato per le nostre povere orecchie ammazzate dai decibel e da una codifica degli intervalli che risale al '700. Da Pitagora in poi, la suddivisione dell'ottava ha creato un'infinità di grattacapi e infinite soluzioni diverse. Un esempio? Negli organi cinquecenteschi i tasti del C#/Eb, del F#/Gb e del G#/Ab erano fisicamente tagliati in due parti, in modo che la prima (quella più vicina all'esevutore) suonasse il diesis e la seconda il bemolle. Se volete, date un'occhiata a questo meraviglioso strumento (un Antegnati del 1565 recentemente restaurato) che presenta proprio questa caratteristica. http://www.antegnatisantabarbara.it/strumento_it.htmLa foto è piccola, ma si intuisce quello che ho appena detto. Posso assicurarvi che, oltre all'emozione di mettere le mani su uno strumento così speciale, bisogna farci la mano. E anche l'orecchio, perchè Gb non è F#.
