Sorry if this question has already been answered, but I searched and could not find a solution. Here's my deal:
I want to set a master level on all my songs so that the volume is always the same on every song I open up. Reason? When gigging, I pan my bass and drums hard left and right, then feed that into a mixer and then use the mixer to control the levels. It's easier this way. HOWEVER... when I'm at home practicing, I'm always changing the volume on songs, so my levels are all over the place.
Is there a master volume setting that will affect ALL of my tunes and ignore the volume settings in the file? THANKS! ~Benny

Hello fellow windplayer. What you're looking for should be a "normalize" function, that i don't think exists currently. Anyway, as you know, setting the levels always depends on the place where you're performing. As i reported on another thread i've found a good way to control volume and equalization of the tunes on gigs: http://www.pgmusic.com/ubbthreads/showfl...ge=3#Post269855Hope this helps Roberto

Nah.. I'm using an actual physical mixer. So, what I do, is I route the bass and drums right out of my mac's sound out port, drums panned hard left and bass hard right. THEN, I use a cable that splits the audio into two separate line's out, and I plug each of those into a line in on the mixer. That allows me to EQ and set levels on my mixer, where I've got more control over the live sound. SOO... really all I need to do it be able to set the volume levels on all my songs to be the same (prefer 127). I've used keyboard maestro to create a macro to disable the piano on all my songs. I might just have to record a macro that sets all the levels on my tunes to be the same.
So, just in case, I'll ask again... is there a way I can get BIAB to set my midi volume levels the same for all my songs? For example, every tune I open up, I want the volume on bass and drums to be 127. How do I do that?
THANKS!

Hello Benny,
You should be able to do this each session by first setting the volumes to 127, and then going to the MIDI menu | MIDI Settings and unchecking 'Overall Volume Changes' and 'Style Volume Changes'. This isn't a permanent change to your songs, BB just won't send any volume changes (so will remain at 127).
