hello again... working on a country rock tune for a friend who had lyrics & an idea...& I wanted the music to have a 2/4 signature feel...where the snare hits the backbeat on 3 in 4/4, or on 2 & 4 in true 2/4 timing...[almost exactly like this beat... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uI7Ghu1FpnQ ...'Redneck Yacht Club'...(after the advertisement)] trouble is...1) Im not sure how to set that up in B-i-a-B in the 1st place (relative to bpm's...since I think B-i-a-B sets up bpms relative to 4/4)...& 2) all the country rock styles I have seem to rock out at 4/4 sure could use some help thanks, doxology btw - maybe where I'm going wrong...like redneck yacht club...if it's 2/4 then it's 86 bpm's but if it's 4/4 then its\'s 172 bpm's...??? I had to set up B-i-a-B at 172 to get the correct tempo. need some guidance on this one, thanks

I think you are looking for a 2 beat type of style? Type in two beat in the style picker search box and click the little "G" button to scroll through the 2 beat styles. You can audition the style from inside the style list by pressing the play button at the top and hear it play over your chord changes.

Well, it couldn't hit on the 4 in a 2/4, right? There is no 4th beat there.
But what I think you are looking for lies in one of the "2-beat" styles. Since, in BiaB, that might end up being done as a 4/4 style in which each bar cell actually covers two bars of 2/4, I guess saying that it hits on the 2 and the 4 may seem appropriate.

2/4 means 2 beats per measure and a quarter note gets a beat 4/4 means 4 beats per measure and a quarter note gets a beat I hope this helps. I'd love to help, but I don't understand your question. Sorry to preach, but if you bought a book on elementary music theory, you might be able to ask your question in a way that the rest of us could understand. You need a style with drums smilar to the pattern below
set to run at 86 bpm. Experiment by creating a new style
with a drum similar pattern.
