Vic, THANKS for the listen. Yep, high frequency hearing loss often trips me up on EQ side. Will listen again with a reference track to see if that helps.

Nigel, great points, and I do prefer having an instrumental or middle eight, or BOTH. For this song I was shooting for the sub three minute pop song format, so jettisoned those as style choices. May have to build those back out for the album version though. Ha! FWIW, I STILL failed to get this under 3:00...THANKS for the listen!
